About the project
The EU Study Days is an educational project established by the EU Delegation to Ukraine. It helps Ukrainian high school pupils (9-11 grades), university students and graduates to learn comprehensively about the European Union and the EU-Ukraine relations from key European and Ukrainian experts.
The project is designed for those who share European values, seek to learn more about the European Union, as well as for those who have their own ideas and are looking for opportunities to implement them with like-minded people. During training sessions, young people will have the opportunity to meet diplomats and experts from the EU Delegation to Ukraine as well as senior officials of Ukrainian authorities.
The project has been implemented since 2013. Since 2013, more than 32 sessions took place within the Project. The most successful students were offered to implement their own micro-projects, and also were invited to trips to Brussels to visit the EU headquarters.
To sustain the project during Covid19 pandemic limitations, an Online University was being developed in 2021 with all features of the massive online open courses.
EU Study Days-2022 is also running as an online learning facility due to Russian aggression in Ukraine. From the 2022 year, not only university students (seeking bachelor’s degree and master’s degree) and postgraduate students, but also high school pupils of 9-11 grades can participate in the programme.
EU Study Days programme consists of two cycles of interactive educational modules, which take place in spring and autumn. Each of the cycles includes 10 modules for schoolchildren and 10 modules for students. Each module includes a lecture and a webinar with the participation of the EU Delegation to Ukraine experts and leading European and Ukrainian experts. Along with that, participants receive informational materials and be able to check their knowledge by passing tests.
The best 20 students from studets and high school pupils will be invited to participate in summer or winter schools in an offline format.
Joint efforts and cooperation with the EU Networks in Ukraine help participants to develop a network of young Ukrainians who will be able to share their experiences, implement joint EU-Ukraine initiatives and become leaders of the EU-Ukraine integration.
